This app identifies sports cards and shows what they are worth. It handles the least data it can to do that. You are not asked to create an account.
| Data | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Photo of a card | To identify and price the card | Not stored. Passed to the recognition service and discarded |
| Device identifier | To count your scans and recognise your subscription | For as long as the subscription lasts |
| Monthly scan counter | To meter scanning against your subscription | 62 days |
| Recognition result (cache) | So the same photo is not charged twice | 30 days |
| Your collection | To show your cards and their total value | On your device only |
We do not use an advertising ID or a permanent hardware number to recognise you. A one-way digest (SHA-256) is derived from Android’s device ID, and only that digest ever leaves the device. It cannot be turned back into the original value. It is not linked to any other data and does not identify you personally.
When you scan a card, the photo goes to our server and from there to our recognition provider. It is not stored at any point. So that the same photo is not charged twice, a mathematical digest of the image is used as a key and only the result is cached for 30 days; the photo itself is not in that cache and cannot be reconstructed from the digest.
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use any advertising network.
Camera: used only to scan cards. The camera feed is not recorded, and no frame leaves the device until you take a scan.
Uninstalling the app deletes the collection on your device. Your scan counter and cached results on the server expire on their own after the periods above. If you want them removed sooner, write to the address below and include the device ID shown on the app’s Settings screen — it is the only way to find your record.
This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes, the date above is updated. For anything significant you will be told inside the app.
